    About Gustafsberg Days

During Gustafsberg Days, visitors are invited to take part in historical and dramatized guided walks for both children and adults. There will be music, horse and carriage rides, traditional games, and much more to experience!

Gustafsberg, located just outside Uddevalla, proudly holds the title of Sweden’s oldest seaside resort. As early as the 18th century, visitors were drawn to this small community to drink the healthy spring water believed to have healing properties. Even the renowned botanist Carl Linnaeus visited Gustafsberg.
During the 19th century, it became a popular destination for royalty, including Crown Prince Gustav and Queen Hedvig Elisabeth Charlotta. They came to improve their health through the healing spring water, warm saltwater baths, and refreshing walks. Gustafsberg was once described as “a piece of Switzerland dropped into the Swedish forest.”

    A Journey to Remember

Take a break from driving, sit back, and let the boat carry you through Uddevalla’s history, nature, and beautiful archipelago. The boat is more than just a means of transport – it’s part of the experience!
